Homestead beat the Southside Archers 30-13 at home in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Friday, September 4, 2026, on an America themed night in the student section. Southside stayed within reach through the first half before the Spartans pulled away, adding a final touchdown to settle it. Jared Haagen worked the game from the sideline, covering the pregame walk to the field behind the flag, the Archers throwing and running early, the catches and the runs that broke open under the lights, and a packed student section in red, white and blue.
